The next Chapter meeting takes place on July 23, 2010 at noon at the Pasta Factory in downtown Columbia. Business and Committee reports will be the order of the day.

 
 

The Chapter's summer picnic for members and families will be held at Columbia's Stephens Lake Park on Friday, August 27, 2010 from 4:30 pm to dusk. We hope you can attend; please RSVP to Clarissa Easton. The chapter will furnish protein and drinks, and we ask that you bring a side dish to share.

2009 AIA Mid-Missouri Scholarship

AIA Mid-Missouri is pleased to announce Mark Andre of Columbia, Missouri as the 2009 Roy J. Pallardy Memorial Scholarship recipient. The award includes $1,000 from the Mid-Missouri Component and an additional matching grant of $900 from the National Component for a total scholarship amount of $1,900. Mark is currently in his fourth year of studies towards a Masters of Architecture degree from the College of Architecture, Planning & Design, Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas. His anticipated graduation date is spring 2011. During the course of his architectural studies, Mark has been a member of the Environmental Design Student Association, Architecture Student Advisory Board, Student Senator on the KSU Student Governing Association and became LEED AP Certified in July of 2006, per the U.S. Green Building Council guidelines.
